Habitlee does not collect any data about you. There is no account to create, no server to sign in to, and no analytics of any kind. Every habit you create, every tick, and every streak stays in the app's own storage on your phone.
The app saves the following on your device only:
That information is written to the app's private storage area, which only Habitlee can read. It is never transmitted anywhere.
Device backup is switched off deliberately. Android can normally
copy an app's data into a user's Google Drive automatically. Habitlee turns that off
(android:allowBackup="false"), so your habit history is not included in Google backups
and is not carried across in a device-to-device transfer. If you want a copy — to move phones, for
example — use Settings › Export backup and keep the file yourself.
| Permission | Why it's there |
|---|---|
| Notifications | To show your daily reminder, if you turn one on. The reminder is created on the device and never involves a server or push service. |
| Vibrate | The short haptic tap when you tick a habit off. |
| Run at startup | Lets a reminder you already scheduled survive a phone restart. |
| Wake lock | Used by Android to deliver the reminder while the screen is off. |
| Internet | Declared by the app framework Habitlee is built on. The app itself makes no network requests — you can confirm this by using it in aeroplane mode, where everything works normally. |
The daily reminder is a local notification scheduled by Android on your phone. No message, time, or habit name is sent off the device. Turning the reminder off in Settings cancels it immediately.
Export copies your habits to your clipboard (or to a .json file in the browser version)
so you can store them wherever you like. Where that copy then goes is entirely your choice — Habitlee
has no involvement once you have it. Import replaces the habits currently in the app, and asks for
confirmation first.
There is no server copy to request the deletion of, because there is no server.
Habitlee is not directed at children and does not knowingly collect information from anyone, of any age. It collects nothing from any user.
If a future version of the app ever changes how data is handled, this page will be updated before that version is published, and the date at the top will change with it.
